The Network Discovery Tool that gives you control and saves you time

Open-AudIT is an application to tell you exactly what is on your network, how it is configured and when it changes. Open-AudIT will run on Windows and Linux systems. Essentially, Open-AudIT is a database of information which you have complete access to and is presented and reported via a slick web interface. Data about the network is inserted into the database with or without agents. We use scripts which are run locally on the server and also automatically run on target machines to gather information. Bash, PHP and VBscript are all used for these functions and these 'scripting' languages are human readable with no compiling, so, if needed they can be extended and adapted by any user. Making changes and customisations is both quick and easy even to the OpenAudit core functions. Three key features will keep you in control of your network.

Setting a new standard in device discovery

Find everything on your network, from traditional network devices and servers, to software defined devices, virtual machines, VOIP phones and even your heating and A/C systems. If it's on your network, Open-AudIT will find it and tell you everything there is to know about it.

Automated insight into your network

Schedule audits to run at YOUR convenience, at whatever pace you need, and then tell you all about what it found and what's gone missing.

Find and manage your software licensing

With Open-AudIT you can rest assured you know where your equipment is, what you have, and where your software licenses are being used.

“Open-AudIT Enterprise has helped us tremendously in configuration management for multiple separate networks and played a key role in meeting those networks’ certification and accreditation requirements.”

How to Install Open-AudIT in 10 Minutes

Before You Install

Open-AudIT uses Nmap as part of its discovery routine. No Nmap, no discovery. Go to the nmap.org webpage, click the Downloads link and download the latest Nmap version for Windows. Install Nmap by right-clicking the .exe and selecting “Run as Administrator”, and simply use the default (already chosen) options. Open-AudIT doesn’t require any special setup or configuration of Nmap – we just need it installed.
